DFI introduces Lanparty socket AM3 microATX board
DFI wants to offer performance for AMD's new socket on a compact board and introduces the Lanparty JR-790GX-M3H5 - PC Games Hardware gives the first details.
The Lanparty series from DFI is extended with the "Lanparty JR-790GX-M3H5” for AMD's socket AM3. The board is equipped with AMD's 790GX Northbridge and the SB750 Southbridge and matches the microATX form factor. A Radeon HD 3300 graphics unit (128 MiByte DDR3 Sideport Memory) that supports Hybrid graphics and CrossfireX is integrated. Users can choose betweena energy efficient 2D mode and a performance optimized 3D mode.
The Lanparty JR-790GX-M3H5 offers two PCI-E slots (which are linked with either one time 16 lanes or two times 8 lanes), Dual Channel DDR3 support on four DIMMs (max. 16 GiByte with effective 1,333 MHz), six SATA 2 ports, Realtek ALC8885 7.1 channel sound, a gigabit LAN port and 12 USB ports.
Apparently the BIOS of the Lanparty JR-790GX-M3H5 will offer many options for the optimization of the hardware and thus might be interesting for overclockers. According to the press release the board is supposed to become available in late April - a price has not been announced yet.
