First details and pictures of Micro ATX board for Core i5 CPUs surfaced
Everybody talks about the new Lynnfield processors and more and more pictures of appropriate motherboards can be found in the internet - one example is the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4.
The GA-P55M-UD4 is a motherboard in Micro ATX format which will support Intel's upcoming Core i5 CPUs (LGA1156) thanks to its P55 chipset. The launch is scheduled for this year's third or fourth quarter. According to current reports the motherboard supports AMD Crossfire as well as Nvidia's SLI technology.
As shown by the first pictures the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 is provided with two mechanical PCI-Express x16 slots and four DRR3 slots. Furthermore seven Serial ATA ports, one PCI-Express x1 and one PCI port are included. The I/O cover of the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 provides diverse USB ports, audio inputs and outputs as well as eSATA, Firewire and a Gigabit LAN port.
