DP55: Intel introduces four P55 motherboards for Lynnfield CPUs
Intel will offer its own motherboards for the Lynnfield processors. Series is tagged with DP55. PC Games Hardware introduces the four boards.
After Intel has officially introduced the Lynnfield processors today, the company has also released four motherboards for the new CPUs. The DP55 series is based on the P55 chipset and will be available in from of Kingsberg (DP55KG), Sharpsburg (DP55SB), Warrensburg (DP55WG) and Whitesburg (DP55WB).
All of the motherboards have a socket LGA1356 and will support the Core i7-800 series and the Core i5-700 series. The P55 has a SLI certification and supports CrossfireX, too. For more information about the individual motherboards see the Intel product pages:
Prices have not been revealed yet and the boards have not been listed by online shops. But Intel's boards are likely to be a little more expensive than the comparable products from the board partners.
