At the ESC Silicon Valley 2009 VIA announced the first Em-ITX motherboard for this week. Em-ITX is a form factor developed by VIA which is intended to be used in devices that don't have cooling fans. The base is the VX800 chipset that can be equipped with an 1.0 or 1.3 GHz GPU of the Nano series or a 500 MHz Eden processor.
The EITX-3000 can be equipped with a DDR2 SO-DIMM - maximal capacity is 2 GiByte. Graphics is handled by the IGP Chrome 9 and audio data by VIA's Vinyl VT1708B. Two SATA ports, two gigabit LAN ports, one DSUB connector, LVDS and USB are available, too. The EITX-3000 is supposed to hit the markets in early May.
