Evga P55 FTW: Pictures of the black LGA 1156 motherboard
The P55 FTW from Evga is intended for overclockers. Now new pictures of the black high-end motherboard have been published.
Apparently the Evga P55 FTW will hit the markets within the next 30 days. The black motherboard has a socket LGA 1156 and is intended for overclocking purposes. Therefore Evga equips the high-end board with a 17 phase power supply (12 phases CPU, 2 phases VTT and 3 phases memory). Three PCI express x16 slots top off the important technical features. Support for CrossfireX and SLI are included, too.
Taking a closer look at the pictures reveals that, besides the holes for the socket LGA 1156 there are also holes for the LGA 775 on the Evga P55 FTW. Thus it might be possible to use coolers that are compatible to the older design only. The motherboard furthermore offers a Triple BIOS, dual gigabit LAN, debug LED, onboard Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons, six SATA ports, two E-SATA ports and 7.1 HD audio.
Pictures of the board can be found in the gallery below. The Evga P55 FTW is supposed to cost about 250 USD on its market introduction.
