CPU cooler Tuniq Tower Extreme 120 scheduled for August
On this year's Computex we already had a look at the Tower 120 Extreme made by Tuniq. According to latest news the CPU cooler will be available at the retailers soon.
Tuniq's Tower Extreme 120 is a processor cooler in tower design. The most striking feature of the 131 x 150.7 x 112.31 mm (L x H x D) Tower Extreme 120 are the staggered cooling fins which at least design-wise stand out from the crowd. Three 8 mm and two 6 mm heatpipes are responsible for the heat transport from the IHS surface to the cooling fins. There, a 120 millimeter fan with 1,000 to 2,000 rpm dissipates the heat. The maximum sound pressure level is said to be 20 Decibel.
The Tower Extreme 120 will be compatible to all current and some older AMD sockets. The Intel website lists socket LGA775 and LGA1366. From August the Tuniq Tower Extreme 120 including a tube of TX-3 thermal compound and a fan controller will be available. According to the report on tcmagazine.com pricing has not been revealed yet.
