Scythe introduces new fastening kits for Core i7 and socket 775 systems
Due to a special fastening kit owners of a Core i7 system can now use Scythe's CPU coolers, too.
Scythe introduced a new fastening system for their CPU coolers that is compatible to the sockest LGA 1366 and LGA 775.
The coolers of the Japanese specialist are really popular and compatible to almost any CPU socket. But up to now owners of a Core i7 system couldn't use the Scythe products. The company now introduced a new fastening for the socket LGA 1366 to fix this drawback.
While the clamps with the model number SCCL-1366 ensure the compatibility of coolers with the common mounting system - Ninja 2 (SCNJ-2000); Kama Angle (SCANG-1000), Zipang (SCZP-1000), Ninja Mini (SCMNJ-1000), Kama Cross (SCKC-1000) and Katana 2 (SCKTN-2000) - the version with the name SCCLV-1366 is intended for coolers with VTMS system - Shuriken (SCSK-1000), Andy Samurai (SCASM-1000), Samurai Z Rev. B (SCSMZ-1100), Mine Rev. B (SCMN-1100) and Mugen (SCINF-1000).
Coolers that have been equipped with one of the two new fastening systems can also be attached to socket 775 based systems. In order to do so, you just have to relocate the push pins.
