As it has been the case with the Zalman 9700 coolers, the CNPS 9900 is now coming in a nickel-plate version, too.
Zalman CNPS 9900 NT
The new edition of the CNPS 9900 LED, the CNPS 9900 NT, seems to be ready for release. With its dimensions of 94 x 131 x 152 millimeters it will be slightly smaller than the previous version (94 x 140 x 158.5) and accordingly the weight drops from 782 grams to 730 grams. The cooler is still made of copper but the CNPS 9900 NT has an additional nickel-plate finish. It will also have LED fan, which won't be blue as the one used for the CNPS 9900 LED, but green. Unfortunately there hasn't been much information about the loudness of the new cooler, but given the almost identical architecture it is most likely to reach similar results as the predecessor: 19.5 to 38 dB(A) at 1,000 to 2,000 rpm of the 120 mm - according to manufacturer.
The CNPS NT is compatible to the sockets LGA 1156, 1366 and 775 as well as AM2(+), 754, 939 and 940. Tcmagazine.com says that the new cooler is supposed to become available in the next weeks for about 70 Euros.
