EKL's new Alpenföhn CPU cooler has, like the Gross Clock'ner and the Gletschersplate, a freaky name: Brocken like the mountain range in Germany.
Alpenföhn Brocken (2)
The heat sink of the Alpenföhn Brocken is fully nickel-plated and two 120 millimeter fans can be attached to it. One such fan with a 4-pin power connector and a speed between 800 to 1,500 rpm is included. With black transparent blades and violet LED lighting the fan stands out of the crowd.
The four heatpipes of the Brocken have direct contact to the heatspreader of the CPU, providing better cooling capacities. A tube of thermal grease is also included. According to the product page the Brocken with its height of 157 millimeters fits onto the sockets 754, 939, 940, AM2(+), 775 and 1366. An official retail price has not been announced yet, but the online shop Caseking lists the Brocken for €39.99.
