OCZ introduces improved solid-state drives
Memory specialist OCZ introduced he second generation of their 2.5 inch SSD series. The Core V2 offers increased performance and bigger capacities.
The most important improvement of the new OCZ SSDs is their improved performance. Due to a general overhaul the Core V2 reaches 170 MByte per second while reading and 98 MByte per second while writing. OCZ says to have reduced the access time to fast 0.2 to 0.3 milliseconds. Another new feature is the Mini USB connector, which can be used to update the Firmware in order to improve the performance.
The 77 grams light 2.5 inch SSD will be available with four different capacities. In addition to the already mentioned 232 GiByte version there will be models with 28, 56 and 112 GiByte.
