Fujitsu Siemens said to suffer from heavy loss in revenue
Fujitsu Siemens (FSC) doesn't come to rest: According to media reports the company has a loss in revenue of about one billion Euros.
The Manager Magazin reports that Fujitsu Siemens has to deal with a heavy loss in revenue. In the financial quarter, ending on March 31, 2009, the turnover is supposed to drop to 5.5 billion Euros - about one billion less than in the previous year. Furthermore the proceeds are said to have decreased drastically. Accordingly 692 of the about 6,000 FSC employees in Germany will be laid off. The management level has already been reduced, since several positions won't be reoccupied.
In early November rumors came up that Fujitsu wants to buy the Joint Venture shares of Siemens for about 450 million Euros after it had been announced that Siemens wants to back out of Fujitsu-Siemens. If the responsible authorities don't have any objections to the project, the deal will be finished until April 1, 2009.
