Microsoft released a patch for the Internet Explorer that fixes a vulnerability of the web browser.

The vulnerability has been subject matter for several discussions and critical news coverage; even governmental departments advised against the use of the Internet Explorer. Now Microsoft reacted with an "out-of-band security update” that is supposed to solve the problem. According to the security bulletin almost every operating system and all versions of the Internet Explorer since IE5 are affected.
The security update for the Internet Explorer has been made available for download by Microsoft. . A detailed overview can be found in the security bulletin. In Microsoft's Download Center the new patches are available, too. PC Games Hardware recommends the immediate installation of those patches.
