Bing: Microsoft's new search engine at 6 percent market share already
It seems like Microsoft's search engine Bing is having a good start: a few hours after the launch it already reached 6 percent market share.
Microsoft's new, recently launched, search engine with the name Bing was able to achieve a impressive launch. Only shortly after the launch netaplicatios.com already recorded a market share of 6 percent for the Google competition - this already makes the new search engine more successful than the predecessor Live Search.
This success might be related, partially at least, to the many announcements that have been published over the past time. Microsoft is already planning a huge publicity campaign - rumors indicate a budget of 100 million USD - in order to ensure further success for Bing, says a report at winfuture.de. Bing is supposed to be advertised as an effective alternative to Google and the others in commercials and on websites. This goal might not be easy to achieve since Google is almost burned into the minds of many users.
