Intel Larrabee possibly with up to 24 cores
TGDaily reports, referring to internal Intel documents, about possible specifications and the roadmap of Intel's Larrabee.
According to the information, Larrabee is scheduled to be introduced on the IDF in San Francisco in the second half of 2009. At first the server market will be supplied with appropriate hardware. About six months later, common users will be able to use the technology in desktop systems and notebooks.
Concerning the specifications, Intel was tight-lipped. But at TGDaily they assume that Larrabee might have up to 24 cores. Additionally there could be support for an 1,024 bit bus system an GDDR5.
