Details about Intel's mobile four core CPU QX9300 leaked
Actually Intel wanted to introduce the first mobile CPU with four cores later that year, but HP and Dell already listed the CPU among their new produces.
The press releases about the HP EliteBook 8730w and Dell's new 17 inch workstation notebook, only mention the term "Quad-Core”, but Intel themselves had incidentally revealed some details about the new CPU. The mobile processor is said to be called QX9300 and to have a clock speed of 2.53 GHz, 12 MiByte L2 cache and a 1.066 MHz FSB. The 44 watts TDP matches the value of the Q9100.
About the two notebooks there aren't many details, yet. The HP devices is said to have a 17 inch display with an extraordinary good colors and the Dell can carry two hard drives and up to 16 GiByte RAM. According to heise there is no information about a release date or pricing of the two notebooks.
