Asus EN9600GT Matrix: Geforce with automatic OC
About a month ago pictures of a special Asus Geforce 9600 GT got around. Now the producer cuts off the rumors and officially introduces the EN9600GT Matrix/HTDI/512M.
Asus gives the G94 based card, which belongs to the "Republic of Gamers” series, a black PCB and a new dual slot cooler. Additionally the "Super Hybrid Engine” is said to deliver optimal performance, at low energy consumption, by adjusting voltages and clock speeds.
Although Asus says the frequencies of GPU, shader units and the 512 MiByte GDDR3 video memory to be 650/1,625/900 Megahertz, they can be raised to 800/2,000/1,100 Megahertz if necessary. This results in a performance benefit of up to 26 percent. In idle mode on the contrary, the voltages of GPU and memory are lowered from 1.15 to 0.9 Volt respectively from 2 to 1.772 Volt.
Price and release date are not specified, yet.
