Radeon HD 5770 and HD 5750: Possible specifications sighted
AMD has not revealed any official details of the new middle class graphics cards HD 5770 and HD 5750, yet. But now the first forecasts are published.
The first estimation of AMD's forthcoming middle class graphics cards has been published by anandtech.com. Up to now the Ati Radeon cards of the 5700 series have been said to have 800 Stream Processors and a 128 Bit memory interface. But now new specifications are revealed.
According to the report the forthcoming graphics cards with the codename Juniper will have 1120 Stream Processors and 56 TMUs as well as a 192 memory interface. Thus the 5700 cards will most likely be faster than the 4800 models.
Furthermore it is rumored that Radeon HD 5770 graphics cards will be sold for about 199 USD and replace the HD 4890. The HD 5750 is supposed to replace the HD 4870 and cost 149 USD. Froma performance point of view both cards are expected to be on the level of Nvidia's GTX 260 and GTX 275. But the latter one is said to be not competitive because of the high production costs. The clock speeds and other specifications have not been estimated.
The graphics cards of the 5700 series are expected to be released in October, says anandtech. AMD's Hemlock dual GPU cards are supposed to follow in November.
