Gigabyte introduces a passively cooled Geforce 9800 GT
Gigabyte introduced a Geforce 9800 GT with a completely passive cooling solution.
Only recently Gigabyte has introduced a Geforce 9800 GT with a passive cooler. The GV-N98TSL-1GI is a interesting development since the G92 isn't really known to run on low temperatures. The card is equipped with 1 GiByte GDDR3 video memory and a 256 Bit interface. As usually the G92 offers 112 Stream Processors.
As a cooling solution Gigabyte uses a dual-slot design called Silent Cell, which is said to be able to deal with any application. Even graphically intensive games like Crysis are supposed to be possible. Currently there is no information about the clock speeds, the price or when the card will become available. We are anxious to see if the Silent Cell cooler can keep the promise.
