Zotac Geforce GTX 285/295: New packaging similar to motherboards
Besides the new Geforce GTX 285 and GTX 295 there hadn't been new Zotac products on display at the CES. But the company changed the packaging for the new graphics cards.
The covering box is disposed and the box can be flipped open like a motherboard packaging. A window in the cover shows the graphics card, which isn't wrapped in an antistatic bag anymore. Instead the foam is antistatic to prevent surge damage on the sensitive components.
Zotac still gives a five years warranty on all graphics cards. Margin note: The Zotac Nitro is currently working with Zotac's own products. But in the future overclocking cards of other companies will be possible, too, although displaying or regulating the fan speed is possible with certain components only.
