Powercolor presents new Radeon HD 4890 OC version
Powercolor lifts AMD's RV790 chip to a new level and wants to offer the momentarily fastest Radeon HD4890 version with its PCS+ HD 4890 graphics card.
The Powercolor PCS+ (Professional Cooling System Plus) comes with a proprietary cooling construction by Zerotherm and is heavily overlocked. So the Powercolor PCS+ HD 4890 runs with a brute 950 MHz chip clock and 1,100 MHz RAM clock (real, effective 4,400 MHz).
According to Powercolor even more overclocking is possible. The PCS+ HD 4890 will be available in two versions whereas it's not the graphics card that makes the difference. One version will be the Powercolor PCS+ HD 4890 Battleforge Edition which will offer the full version of the game.
Powercolor announces May 5 as release date and retail prices of 254 and 249 US dollar which means only 5 Dollar for the strategy title Battleforge.
