Powercolor introduces Radeon HD 4890 with custom cooler
It seems like Powercolor wants to loosen up the graphics card market and introduces another Radeon HD 4890 with a custom cooling solution.
The new Powercolor graphics card is based on AMD's 55 nanometer RV790 and has 800 Stream Processors, 40 Texture Units and 1 GiByte GDDR5 VRAM with a 256 bit interface. The GPU and the video memory are running at AMD's reference frequencies (975 respectively 850 Megahertz). But in contrast to the stock versions of the Radeon HD 4890 this graphics card is equipped with a custom dual-slot cooling solution.
Technical details of the cooler have not been revealed yet. According to the latest information the new Powercolor HD 4890, which is going by the name AX4890 1GBD5, will hit the markets for about 150 Euros soon.
