Nvidia Physx with HD 3870: 22,000 points in Vantage CPU benchmark
After yesterday's information, that Physx could be run on AMD's graphics cards in the near future, it seems like there are first results - but nothing official.
The website ngohq.com published a screenshot, which shows Radeon Physx is activated rather than Geforce Physx. The CPU score of 3DMark Vantage is given with 22,606 points - without Physx support such score wouldn't be possible.
Ngohq.com wants to publish a tool which enables the Physx driver and CUDA for AMD Radeon HD 3800 cards - support for the RV770 is not to be expected at the moment, since ngohq.com hasn't got one of the cards and therefore cannot make the necessary adjustments.
It remains to be seen if it is really that easy to enable Physx on AMD's cards, as it seems to be right now. The results haven't been verified yet. If the screenshot is not a fake it might well be a political decision when Physx can be run on AMD graphics cards.
