Gainward introduces Geforce GTX 285 with 2 GB VRAM
The trend for more video memory gathers way. Besides Palit, Gainward now wants to offer a Geforce GTX 285 with 2 GiByte VRAM, too.
The GT200b GPU is said to run at 648 MHz, while the GDDR3 memory, which is linked via a 512 Bit interface, is clocked to 1,242 MHz. The Shader frequency is said to be 1,476 MHz. Four heatpipes and two fans are the most obvious features of the custom cooling solution. SLI, CUDA and Physx support are included, too.
According to TCMagazine a price has not been announced yet. There also isn't an official release date.
