MSI: Overclocked Geforce GTX 260 with silent cooling
MSI wants to stand out of the Geforce GTX 260 crowd with a custom cooling solution and increased clock speeds.
The MSI N260GTX-T2D896 with 896 MiByte VRAM is equipped with a "Twin Forzr" full metal cooler. The frequencies are set to 655/1,408/1,050 MHz (GPU/Shader/VRAM) and thus are higher than Nvidia's default GTX 260 values (576/1,242/999) MHz.
The "Twin Frozr” cooling solution of the GTX 260 is working with two fans and five heatpipes. MSI says the chip temperature can be lowered by up to 20 degrees Celsius. A PWM control adjusts the fan speed - and thus the loudness - in dependence to the workload. The game Tomb Raider: Underworld is included in the MSI N260GTX-T2D896 range of supply.
