Radeon HD 5870 X2 planned for Q4 2009
AMD is said to plan the launch of the Radeon HD 5870 X2 in the fourth quarter of 2009.
It seems like AMD wants to release the dual GPU version of the Radeon HD 5870 in 2009. Xbitlabs wants to have learned from well informed sources that Radeon HD 5870 X2 is supposed to be launched in the fourth quarter. Up to now the only detail of the card that is mentioned, indicates that it is based on two RV870 graphics chips, will support DirectX 11 and was assigned with the codename Hemlock. It is expected that, similar to the HD 4870 X2, 2 GiByte GDDR5 video memory will be used for the card.
