Radeon HD 48x0: Gainward wants to do AMD business
Many popular makers of graphics cards are known to run on two tracks and offer AMD and Nvidia products.
Now Gainward wants to do so, too and releases two graphic cards based on AMD technology. As one might expect, both cards are equipped with an RV770. Apparently the HD 4850 and the HD 4870 are produced according to the default design. They are said to run with the default clock speeds of 625/993 respectively 750/1,800 Megahertz.
Later on - as known from the Nvidia series - there will be "Golden Sample” versions of the cards, with increased clock speeds. At the moment it is unclear, when the first AMD cards from Gainward will be for sale.
