Remakes of Geforce GTX 260/280 and 9800 GTX+ possible
At the Chinese website sanhaostreet.com an Elsa roadmap was published that reveals some of Nvidia's future graphics chips.
It is commonly known that an upgraded version of the Geforce GTX 260 with an extra TPC will be released next week, but it seems like Nvidia won't stop after that: The 55 nanometer update GT200b of the GT200 chip is, in the case of the GTX 260, called GT206 and seems to be a little faster than the current GTX 260. It is also possible that this is a GTX 260 with an additional TPC.
The GTX 280 will be reissued in early 2009 as GT212. Because of the poor picture quality, it is not possible to see if it will be produced in 45 or even 40 nanometers. The performance is increased only marginally. The 9800 GTX+ on the other hand gets a boost - details are unknown.
