Nvidia helps NGOHQ with Physx for Radeons
TG Daily talked to Roy Taylor, Nvidia's vice president. He confirms, that he is in contact with Eran and that he invited him to Nvidia's developer program - registration and participation are free for everyone who is interested. Derek Perez, public relations, said "We'll help any and all developers are using CUDA.”
Badit announced that his work has made some good progress and Radeon HD 4800 cards will be supported, too. Support by AMD on the other hand hasn't been as good as it was hoped to be, as information is rarely or only hesitant given away.
How much of this is true, has to be seen, jet - often requests for help directed at the two big GPU producers can be reduced to "We would like to have a free hardware sample”. Possibly AMD denied such a request.
