Gigabyte introduces a Radeon HD 4770 graphics card with the doubled amount of video memory.
Gigabyte's Radeon HD 4770 with 512 MiByte (pictured) will be supported by a version with 1,024 MiByte VRAM.
After Sapphire and HIS have introduced Radeon HD 4770 graphics cards with custom cooling solutions, gigabyte now takes another approach and doubles the amount of VRAM from 512 MiByte to 1 GiByte.
The frequencies of the GPU (7590 MHz) and the GDDR5 video memory (800 MHz), which is connecter with a 128 bit interface, match AMD's default values. Due to the doubled amount of VRAM the price is growing by about 30 Euros: The Gigabyte GV-R477UD-1G is listed for about 117 Euros.
