AMD Ati Radeon HD 4770: 8,086 points in 3DMark Vantage performance setting
Even before the official launch the first 3DMark Vantage results of an Ati Radeon HD 4770 have been published.
The first benchmark results of an AMD Ati Radeon HD 4770 have been published by expreview.com. The card from Connect 3D reached 8,086 points in the Performance setting of 3DMark Vantage (6,639 GPU score). For comparison: An Ati Radeon HD 4850 reaches 8,367 points (6,891 PU score) in those settings. So the Radeon HD 4770 is only about 3.5 percent behind the Radeon HD 4850.
The HD 4770 from Connect 3D that was used for the test has 640 Stream Processors. The GPU frequency is set to 750 MHz while the GDDR5 video memory is running at 800 MHz. due to the 40 nanometer structure the TDP is lower than 80 watt. The card is equipped with 512 MiByte VRAM.
