Radeon HD 4890: Enhanced custom design by Asus
Asus is apparently working on a Radeon HD 4890 with increased clock speeds and enhanced power supply.
The Radeon HD 4890 from Asus will have slight adjustments made to the digital PWM and two independent controller chips. Via software the GPU voltage can be increased up to 1.4 volt and one of the 6-pin power connectors will be replaced by an 8-pin version.
According to Techpowerup the clock speeds of the Asus HD 4890 will be set to 900 MHz for the GPU and 2,000 MHz for the VRAM. Given the number of changes it is not really surprising that the cooling solution won't have the default design. Pictures of the cooler aren't available yet.
