GTX 285 already available?
The 55 nanometer replacement for the Geforce GTX 280 has not been officially introduced by Nvidia yet, but it seems like the first cards already are available.
Besides the dual GPU card GTX 295 another 55 nanometer Geforce is said to hit the markets in January. The Geforce GTX 285 is based on the GT200b chip and is said to replace the GTx 280 which is produced in 65 nanometer architecture. Up to now Nvidia didn't release official specifications or announced a release date, but diverse key data circulated the Internet for some time now. Accordingly the GTX 285 is supposed to run with slightly increased clock speeds of 648/1476/1242 MHz (GPU/Shader-ALUs/VRAM).
Now the first cards seem to have become available already. The Chinese website hkepc.com published a picture of a Gigabyte GTX 285. We also received images of such a card. If those cards and/or pictures are not faked, Nvidia might come up with some official details about the GTX 285 soon.
