Coolermaster HAF 932: Official introduction of the new high-airflow case
Right in time for the Games Convention 2008 Coolermaster releases a new case, which, because of the high airstream capabilities, is constructed for gamers and overclockers in the first place.
The HAF 932 has been presented to the public on Computex 2008 for the first time. PC Games Hardware had been on site and got some impressions of the case. Today the HAF (High Air Flow) is officially released.
The name reveals: It's all about airflow. All in all there are three 200 mm fans in the case to ensure a continuous supply of fresh air. The fans are positioned at front, side and the top. On the rear side there is another 140 mm fan. It is possible to replace the giant fan on the side with four 120 mm fans. A 240 mm radiator (for water cooling systems) can be placed in lid or on the bottom of the case, but there the power supply unit has to be taken out and put below the lid.
If a reservoir for a water cooling system is installed in the top 5.25 inch drive bay, it can be filled via the standard Fillport. To do this you just need to remove the rubber cover of the tray on the top. The latter can be use to have a skid-proof place to put things like your mobile phone, MP3 player or other things connected to the front USB ports.
The case is a little wider than most cases usually are. This way Coolermaster makes sure that there is enough space behind the motherboard tray for putting even the thick 24-pin power supply connector out of view. To make it easier to run the cables out of view there are several cable fairleads. The motherboard tray got another feature. There where current motherboards have the CPU socket, there is a hole in the tray. This allows you to fasten the backplate of a CPU cooler without having to dismount the motherboard.
The Coolermaster HAF 932 is said to be available at the end of August. Take a look at the picture gallery to get some impressions of the case.
