Logitech G27 Racing Wheel announced for 350 Euros
Today Logitech has officially announced the G27 Racing Wheel as a replacement of the G25.
Logitech has yet again announced a new gaming controller. In September the G25 Racing Wheel will be replaced by the new G27 Racing Wheel. Logitech’s recommended retail price is specified with almost 300 USD, but it is to be expected that the device will be sold for less on the retail markets. For comparison: Currently the G25 costs about 180 Euros although officially the price is 350 Euros.
Logitech G27: The improvements
Besides rpm indicator LEDs the G27 offers six buttons on the wheel (G25: only two). The break and the gas pedal have been moved apart a little. All pedals have detail improvements – many professional gamers had criticized that “heel and toe” maneuvers were not possible with the old setup.
More features of the Logtiech G27 Racing Wheel:
• Dual-motor force feedback mechanism with helical gearing
• Sixteen programmable buttons plus D-pad
• 900-degree wheel rotation
• Ultra-precise optical encoding
• Carpet grip system
• Realistic 28cm wheel with leather-wrapped rim
• Six-speed shifter with push-down reverse gear
• Steel gas, brake, and clutch pedals
• Steel ball bearings
Logitech just recently introduce the new G500 gaming mouse and the G330 headset. PC Games Hardware already published a hands-on test of the G500. If you want to know more about Logitech’s new racing wheel take a look at the G27 product page.
