The Godfather 2: Copy protection/ DRM
For The Godfather 2 EA is using a DRM system with a stealth online authentication. Therefore you must be connected to the Internet during the installation of the game. After the serial number has been typed in, The Godfather 2 is contacting the EA servers without asking in order to activate the game.

The Godfather 2: The engine
The Godfather 2 is based on an upgraded version of the engine used for the first part. This piece of technology is optimized for multi-core processors and thus uses up to three cores. On our test system with an Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 GiByte RAM and a GTX 260-192, The Godfather was running between 35 and 60 fps at a resolution of 1,440 x 900 with maximal details - inside buildings the framerate grew to more than 100 fps.
