Crysis: Optimized time of day simulation delivers textbook graphics
Crysis and its Cryengine 2 are still one of the most popular playgrounds for modders. With adjusted time of day settings the graphics can be altered in a way that don't remind of a modern video game anymore.
Besides Hawkeye|Puppy another modder called Vanity Assassin is busy in the Crymod Forum to create a unique graphics style with adjusted time of day settings. The result of Vanity Assassin's optimizations is a look that can be used to create impressive images of rays of sunlight at dawn, sunsets or misty coastlines.
In our gallery you can find some of the time of day pictures published by Vanity Assassin; see the Crymod Forum for more screenshots. What do you think about the pictures? Give your opinion in the comments.
