Intel cancels CPUs: QX9650 and QX9770 affected
Intel revises its processor portfolio and deletes several CPUs from the product range.
Today Intel announced that several CPUs will not be in the company's portfolio anymore. Amongst others this applies to the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0 GHz) and QX9770 (3.2 GHz) on Yorkfield basis; a tribute to the Core i7. Also cancelled are the Celeron E1200 (1.6 GHz) and the Core 2 Duo E8300 (2.83 GHz) in the Tray version. Last but not least the Pentium E2180 (2.0 GHz) is cancelled, too.
Last orders can be placed until 5th June. After that last deliveries to retailers and OEM manufacturers are executed.
