For a video overclockers tested the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition with different cooling methods.
On air cooling the Phenom II X4 955 BE was running at a maximum of 4,515 MHz - with 1.50 volt the chip is stable at 4,070 MHz. With dry ice the maximal frequency can be increased to 5,167 MHz. 1.60 V were enough to reach stability at 4,717 MHz.
Using liquid nitrogen the results are even higher: 5,751 MHz stable at 1.8 V and with a 6,405 MHz CPU-Z validation the default frequency of the Phenom II X4 955 BE (3,200 MHz) was even doubled. Watch the ne AMD OC video below if you want to convince yourself of the new results.
