Intel said to introduce Core 2 Quad Q9505
Apparently Intel wants to release a new Core 2 Quad CPU. The only interesting feature is that the processor will have a reduced L2 cache.
According to the latest rumors Intel plans to release a new quad-core CPU for the socket 775. The Core 2 Quad Q9505's specifications will match those of the Q9500 except one detail: Instead of 12 MiByte L2 cache the new processor will only have 6 MiByte L2 cache. The 2.83 GHz frequency, 95 W TDP and the remaining features apparently are the same.
The Core 2 Quad Q9505 is said to cost about 212 USD and replace the Q9400 which is running at 2.66 GHz.
