Intel Celeron E3000 series: Release in third quarter
Intel's Celeron series is said to be overhauled in the third quarter. The E3000 Celerons will replace the E1000 Celerons.
The new Celeron processors are supposed to be released in August. The E3200, running at 2.4 GHz, and the E3300, 2.5 GHZ, are produced in 45 nanometer architecture and have 800 MHz FSB as well as 1 MiByte L2 cache. Both CPUs are said to have a TDP of 65 W. says HKPC.
In one of many Product Change Notifications there is information about a third entry level processor besides the E3200 and E3300. The Wolfdale based Pentium Dual Core E6500 is said to have a clock speed of 2.93 GHz, 1,066 MHz FSB and 2 MiByte shared L2 cache.
Up to now the three CPUS are supposed to be sold for 43, 53 respectively 84 USD.
