Intel with 4 thread processor Arrandale in second half of the year
At the Intel press conference the new Arrandale CPU architecture was introduced.
Besides a demonstration of the coming 32 nanometer processors Intel also show the plans for further CPU generations. The name Arrandale has been brought up for the first time. This Dualcore processor with four threads (via Hyperthreading) which is possibly based on the32 nm Westmere with a graphics unit on the same package but in a separate Die is supposed to be released in the second half of 2009 - parallel to the already known Clarksdale.
