Digitimes.com reports, that Via, due to increasing interest in their products, might be able to undertake a comeback in the low-cost system market.

According to industry analysts, Via might be able to run a turn for the better. Gigabyte plans to use Via's chips for their M700 series of UMPCs (ultra mobile PCs). Additionally Hewlett-Packard is said to have ordered 100,000 C7-M ULV processors, for a low-cost system. Furthermore, other vendors seem to think about using Via's products for their UMPCs and low-cost systems.
