AMD Video: Overclocking Event in a London Pub
A video of another AMD overclocking event was published on Youtube. It shows the Dragon platform with a Phenom II X4 955 BE on a DFI motherboard with 790GX chipset and a Radeon HD 4890.
This AMD OC event wasn't held in the desert as it has been the case with the Liquid Helium experiments, but in a pub in London. The event was focus on the overhauled Dragon platform with a Phenom II X4 955 BE on a DFI motherboard with a 790GX chipset and a Radeon HD 4890. This setup was overclocked by eight teams.
The target was easy: The best results for 3D Mark 05 and the highest CPU frequency. Instead of exotic cooling solutions, the systems were used with air cooling and because of that the results don't reach world record status of course. On the site was Sami "macci” Mäkinen, who had also been involved in the Liquid Helium Event.
