AMD with new Phenom II Revision?
AMD is said to introduce a new Revision of the Phenom II CPUs soon. The new processors will have a lowered TDP.
During his life cycle a processor design is optimized several times. And AMD's Phenom II is said to receive such optimizations soon.
AMD is said to plan the introduction of a new Revision for the Phenom II quad-core in the third quarter. Up to now the CPUS have a TDP of 125 watt, while the next Revision is supposed to require 95 watt only. If this information is correct increased overclocking capabilities might also be possible. We are anxious to see if AMD can out another log in the fire with the new Phenom II Revision.
