Borderlands: PC version delayed
Apparently the release of Borderlands with its Concept Art Style graphics has been rescheduled. PC gamers will have to wait a few days longer than the console owners.
While the release date for the console version of Borderlands has not been changed (October 23) the PC gamers have to wait for a little longer than expected. The US version is said to hit the markets on October 26 and the international version on October30. The reason for the delay is that the optimizations of the PC version would require a little more time. Actually this is not surprising since Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said that the PC version would have the crispest image possible.
Borderlands is developed by Gearbox. After the initial screenshots revealed quite realistic graphics the developers threw over the first concept and introduced the Concept Art Style graphics which bear resemblance to the Cel-Shading known form Prince of Persia.
At several occasions like the comic Con Gearbox has released videos and screenshots of Borderlands. Besides that they have also published a Behind the Scenes trailer. Some of the clips can be found below.
