Borderlands: First DLC released for PC - Tuning tool available
The already announced mini add-on for Borderlands, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, has been released for the PC. Besides that a useful tuning tool is available, too.
Even before the game itself had been released, the first mini add-on for Borderlands was announced. It is called The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and has now been released for the PC, after it was accessible on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 for some time already. The player's task is it, together with the name giving Dr. Ned, to get a horde of zombies under control.
The DLC costs 9.99 USd respectively 7.99 Euros and can be acquired via Steam or the Gearbox-Store. Apparently the second DLC, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot for PC, too, but a release date has not been revealed yet.
A useful tool for all borderlands fans might be the Borderlands Configuration Editor from the official Geabox Forum. User Obli offers the tool for download. The configuration program, which requires .NET Framework 2.5 SP1 to run properly, offers for example the following options:
• Disable startup movies
• Adjust the weapon bob
• Set strength of gravity
• Disable Outline Shader
• Set texture resolution
• Adjustment of Field of View
It is important to not, that you have to change key bindings in the game in advance. Because only if you do so the game writes all required entries into the config file, which are necessary for the tool to work correctly.
