Batman: Arkhma Asylum is scheduled for release in September. Now a free demo version has been published and support for GPU Physx as well as Nvidia 3D Vision is confirmed.
The demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum has been released. Logged in users of PCGH can download the two gigabyte big file it at the end of this article. The demo shows the beginning of the game where Batman and Commissioner Gorden deliver the Joker to the Arkham Asylum. Besides GPU Physx the demo also supports Nvidia's 3D Vision.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is scheduled for release on September 18, although the initial plan was to publish the game in August. The system requirements read as stated below:

The first worth seeing texture modifications for Batman costumes have been published in the Eidos forum. With the tool Texmod.exe the new textures can be integrated into the demo. An explanation of how to do it and the necessary files can be found directly in the Eidos Forum. In our gallery we assembled pictures of some of the best modifications.

Eidos has furthermore confirmed that Batman: Arkham Asylum utilizes GPU accelerated Physx. A Nvidia graphics card and Windows Live are required. The additional Physx effects are supposed to be used for fog, tearing cobwebs, splintering tiles and shattering glass.
