450 people are working on Assassin's Creed 2, the second part of the thrilling action-adventure. From November 17 players can sneak through Renaissance Venice as Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Assassin's Creed 2 will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Thanks to the Anvil Engine Venice will be a feast for the eyes. During the E3 Ubisoft presented a night mission where you had to shimmy from fireplace to fireplace via a flying apparatus and using the lift of the warm air - a very impressive visualization. The clothing of the characters is even more realistic this time. Ubisoft has also improved the vegetation thanks to the Far Cry 2 technology.
In Assassin's Creed 2 the player is the young nobleman Ezio who has to deal with the intrigues of rivaling ruling families in Renaissance Venice. The game of vengeance will offer more varied missions, new game elements and weapons as well as a detailed character development. Ubisoft believes that this mix will appeal both fans and newcomers. According to Ubisoft every aspect of the game has been improved.
During the 16 missions the player will visit places such as Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge and the St Mark's Basilica. Some missions are said to take place in Toscany. Assassin's Creed 2 will be set 300 years after the first part. The adventures take place in 1476. The player uses different weapons such as spears, axes, maces and a very effective hammer. Furthermore Ezio Auditore de Firenze is said to be able to swim this time and to even use flying apparatuses.
