ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead: First add-on on the way
ArmA 2 (aka Armed Assault 2) will be enhanced with the stand-alone add-on Operation Arrowhead. This has been announced by Bohemian Interactive.
Operation Arrowhead is the first add-on for ArmA 2. The game will be a stand-alone extension so the original game is not required. According to the latest information the story of Operation Arrowhead takes place three years after the incidents of the main game. Led by the Americans the unit goes to Takistan in order to ensure freedom there and to protect the civil population.
Bohemian emphasizes that ArmA 2 will still be supported although the add-on is released. Furthermore the main game will be upgraded with new features that are developed for the add-on. Operation Arrowhead is supposed to be introduced at the Gamescom video game trade fair which takes place in Cologne, Germany, on August 20 to August 23. Furthermore it is speculated that the release will be scheduled around October 8 when Operation Flashpoint 2 hits the market.
