Arcania Gothic 4: 100 terrific Images from the demo version
Arcania: Gothic 4 has been playable since yesterday. Meanwhile, not only numerous community members slaughtered their way through the extensive demo version but the editors did so, as well. Out came plenty of impressions well worth seeing.
One thing is certain: The demo version of Arcania: Gothic 4 really turns up its pace towards its end. Not only the action but also the visual appeal of the end game looks just outstanding. Glistening flashes, fireballs and other magic spells dynamically light the cave wall surroundings before they pull our enemies to the ground.
Feel free to browse through our gallery where you can find 100 brand new screenshots taken in the demo. Of course, the aforementioned fireworks are included. The shots have been taken with maximum level of detail. We used an AMD Phemon II X6 processor paired with an overclocked ATI Radeon HD 5870 which rendered the game in 2.560 x 1.600 pixels with AF cranked up to 16:1. For the gallery, we down-sized the images to 1.280 x 800 which effectively comes up to 4x super-sampling-AA. The frame rate on this system ranged from 25 to 40 fps, which means it always remained playable.
